Track your community's budget
A period budget, sliced across events, that fills itself in as reimbursements are approved — so the board can always answer what's left without a side spreadsheet.
One envelope per stretch of time
A budget is deliberately simple: a name, a period (a fiscal year, usually), an amount, and notes about where the money came from. You'll find Budgets under Financial. Periods can't overlap, on purpose — one envelope per stretch of time is what keeps the math unambiguous when spend lands.
Budgets are optional. Reimbursements work perfectly well without one; you just won't get the spent-versus-remaining picture.
Slice it across events
Allocate parts of the budget to specific events, either from the budget page or from the Budget tile on any event's manage hub. Each slice shows allocated, spent, and remaining, so an event chair can see their own number without seeing the whole ledger.
A neighborhood budget can also fund an affiliated club's event — pick the club's event in the allocation picker and it's labeled with the club's name.
Spend arrives on its own
You don't record spending by hand. When the treasurer approves a reimbursement, its amount lands against the matching budget: on the event's slice when it's tied to an event, in the general pool when it isn't. A shared receipt split across several events charges each one its share. Spend on an event with no slice still counts — it shows up as unallocated spend rather than disappearing.
Club spending with no club budget rolls up to the neighborhood's ledger, so nothing is ever invisible just because a club runs no envelope of its own.
Record what didn't come through a reimbursement
Some money leaves without a receipt submission — an invoice the association paid directly, a deposit, a correction. Manual adjustments cover those: a description, an amount, a date, and optionally the event it belongs to. A negative amount credits the budget back.
Reconcile against your own records
Export CSV on any budget page gives you the whole envelope as flat rows: the summary, each allocation with its spend, unallocated spend, the general pool, and every adjustment. That's the file to diff against a board spreadsheet or hand to whoever closes the books.
Your dashboard also carries a Budget card with the current period's remaining balance, so the number is in front of you without going looking.
