Payments, charges, and refunds

What you pay, what the charge looks like, and the one rule to know about refunds: your community issues them, not NeighborlyEvents.

1

You pay exactly the sticker price

The price on the ticket is the price you pay. No service fee, no processing fee, nothing added at checkout. Your card is handled by Stripe, the same payment processor behind millions of businesses; NeighborlyEvents never sees or stores your card number.

Recognizing the charge on your statement

Your card statement will show a charge processed through NeighborlyEvents. The money isn't ours: ticket sales and dues land in your community's (or club's) own account. We keep only a small published platform fee, which the organizer pays out of the ticket price, never you.

Refunds come from your community

Here's the rule that answers most questions: refunds are issued by your community's organizers, because they hold the money. NeighborlyEvents can't reach into a community's account. To request one, reply to your confirmation email or use the contact information on the event page. When an organizer refunds you, the money returns to the card you paid with.

4

Club dues work the same way

Dues go straight to your club's own account, and the club's organizers handle any refund questions. Your payment confirmation email is your receipt.
