Give the club a rhythm

Most clubs are a habit before they're a calendar. Here's how to tell the app what the habit is.

Set it right on the event form

Every club event form has a How often section. Choose Weekly and pick a day, or Monthly and pick something like the third Saturday. There's also every other month and quarterly, both of which work the same way, and Doesn't repeat for a one-time thing. You're describing the pattern in words, not creating a pile of duplicate events.

What a rhythm actually gets you

Choosing a pattern connects the event to a series, which is what keeps every occurrence tied together across photos and history. It turns on a reminder that nudges you when it's time to schedule the next one, and gives you a one-tap way to do it. It also lets returning members RSVP to the next one in a click, reusing what they told you last time instead of answering the same questions again.

Events with the same title join the same series automatically, which is what stops your club filling up with "Saturday Run 2" and "Saturday Run 3".

Deeper settings live in Series

The Series section lists every rhythm your club has going, with the number of events in each. Open one and you get what the event form doesn't ask about: which months of the year the series runs, how far ahead the series works, and whether it reminds you to create the next event or creates it for you — a draft duplicated from the most recent one, on the next date at the same time, for you to review and publish. Its Notifications section says who hears about all this (every organizer, or one address) and how: email, the app, the dashboard. The page also shows what the series has done lately, including anything that went wrong and why.

Changing or stopping the rhythm

The same How often section sits on the event's edit form, so you can move a weekly meetup from Tuesdays to Thursdays in one place. Choosing Doesn't repeat on an event that had a rhythm is an explicit stop: it ends the reminders rather than just skipping one.
