Why am I getting these emails?
Where invitations come from, which reminders to expect, and how to turn any of it off.
Invitations come from your community, not from us
Neighborhood organizers can invite verified neighbors and past attendees to upcoming events. NeighborlyEvents never rents, sells, or markets to your address; the only invitations you'll see are from communities you're actually part of. Every invitation has a one-click opt-out at the bottom that silences invitations from that neighborhood.
Reminders for events you registered for
Registered for something? You'll get a reminder before it starts, and sometimes a confirm-or-decline check-in so the organizer's headcount is real. These stop on their own when the event passes, or immediately if you cancel the registration.
Club emails have their own switch
Each club you belong to can send its own announcements and invitations, and each has its own opt-out, so you can mute the newsletter-happy club while still hearing from the one you love. Use the link at the bottom of any club email, or your membership settings.
What we can't turn off (and why)
Receipts, registration confirmations, and sign-in links are transactional: they only ever arrive because of an action you just took, and they're how you hold your ticket and your money's paper trail. Those can't be muted, and honestly, you wouldn't want them to be.
